Our Story

Just like any other family-owned company, we have our own unique story. Our company began with Von Davenport, our head contractor, who has been in the construction business for over thirty years. He was born and raised here in Washington D.C and has dedicated himself to building his own area up. There is nothing construction related that he has not seen and worked on himself which gives him the ultimate go-to person as well as a great teacher for those willing to learn from the ground up. 
With all of those years of work, there had to be an end goal for Von. The end goal for Von was that he has something to pass down and hopefully keep within the family. That is where his son, Ian Davenport comes in. After finishing up college, Ian decided it was best to work alongside his father to both learn from him and to show him a more modern approach to his older thinking when it comes to running the business.  Ian immediately came in and made a difference. Now Von and Ian continue to build up Davenport and Son Construction while doing things a little different than Von was used to.
